Patent Auction!
I've spent the last few weeks busy preparing for the Young Inventors' conference at MIT. There are still a few spots available, so feel free to check it out.
Even amidst conference preparations, something came across my desk today that I HAD to post: Ocean Tomo will be offering the world's first ever patent auction.
I'm really excited about the concept because:
1. I've been wondering for years how IP can be monetized, particularly given that it's returns tend to be ambiguous and uncertain in most circumstances.
2. If IP can be monetized, then independed inventors may be able to sell their IP to corporate bidders that don't usually work with independent inventors.
