My Dad (who likes to keep informed about the latest trends in technology) recently sent me a note about Wikinomics, a cool upcoming book about the trend of collaborative content creation. One of the chapters of the book will even be created by the site's visitors!

Synergy

I'm always a proponent of collaboration and synergy across disciplines.

Industrial design has always appeared to me to be an ideal field for encouraging dialog across disciplines (the first Young Inventors' BrainBuzz was held at the Design Exchange in Toronto and brought together industrial design students with engineers and business majors). It seems that GE, BMW, and Nestle agree.

I haven't posted in quite some time because of illness and a long drive back across the country (from San Jose, CA to Pittsburgh, PA) on which I had the opportunity to practice my driving skills on a manual transmission.
